+Impact Studio Summer Internship
Now hiring for the 2024 summer program
2024 Dates: May 13 - July 19 (10 weeks)
DNEP's +Impact Studio for Local Business (+ISLB) summer internship program provides students with transformative consulting experience by pairing interdisciplinary teams of U-M students with a small portfolio of Detroit small business client to focus on implementing the recommendations of prior student teams.
Services include:
- Automating a business' marketing systems to increase the lifetime value of its customers
- Saving business owners time and money through optimizing Point of Sale Systems and other backend technology
- Launching new products by operationalizing manufacturing, packaging and fulfillment

This program is designed for current sophomores or juniors at the University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy, Ross School of Business, or School of Information. Students from other schools who are pursuing an entrepreneurship minor are also welcome to apply. In rare exceptions, we hire just-graduated seniors or rising sophomores.

Your cover letter should indicate which of the three teams you are applying for, and confirm that you will be available in-person for all ten weeks. Interns work from 9:30-4:30 each day, Monday-Friday. We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis, and applications from Ross students are due Friday, April 5, 2024.
The DNEP summer internship program is made possible by financial support from The New Economy Initiative, the U-M Entrepreneurship minor, Business + Impact at the Ross School of Business, Zell Lurie Institute, the Ford School of Public Policy, and the School of Information. We will hire between 12-14 interns in Summer 2024.
